We are seeking candidates for a one-year postdoc position to work on
the EU Horizon 2020 project PROTON. The position will involve the
development of **agent-based models of recruitment** to _organized
crime_ and _terrorist networks_.
The Laboratory of Agent Based Social Simulation (LABSS) is part of the
Institute of Cognitive Sciences and Technologies (ISTC) and the
Italian National Research Council (CNR) and is located in central
Rome, Italy.
We are a highly interdisciplinary research group working at the
intersection of cognitive, social, and computational sciences.
Accordingly, the position requires a team player with a willingness to
thrive in a highly interdisciplinary environment. The laboratory
welcomes researchers from all countries and operates mainly in the
context of EU-funded research.
Mathematical, agent-based modelling, and programming skills are
required. Knowledge of agent-based simulation platforms, in
particular, NetLogo, and statistical analysis tools, for example R, is
essential too.
While highly desirable, a PhD is not an essential requirement. We will
also consider candidates who are nearing the end of their PhD.
