The Journalism and History departments at the University of the West of England are looking for a research assistant (RA) to work on a new project.
Working closely with senior academics the RA will investigate the regional radical press between 1968 and 1988. They will find archives, identify and interview key players, create databases and liaise with other researchers and organisations. The information gathered will be used to support further research and funding bids as well as developing the RA's research profile.
This role, in an under-researched area crossing journalism, politics and history, requires a mix of skills and a self-starter but has the potential to be very rewarding both personally and professionally.
This is a fixed term, part time role with interviews in September and starting in October. For more information email [log in to unmask] or [log in to unmask]
