UWTSD Swansea are seeking a new External Examiner for a HNC/HND Business Management  that is being delivered by one of our partner colleges, Pembrokeshire College, Haverfordwest, Wales.

The Faculty of Business and Management is home to a wide range of industry-led, professionally focused courses in Business/Management as well as Leisure, Events, Tourism and Sports subjects.  All our courses are developed in partnership with employers, so we can ensure our graduates have the skills they need when they enter the workplace.

We are a student-centred University, where teaching and learning are the most important part of what we do as a faculty.  We are continuously striving to improve the student experience and pride ourselves on getting to know our students as individuals and supporting them in their studies in an open, friendly environment. We welcome applications from a wide range of backgrounds including those without formal qualifications, and consider each applicant on an individual basis.

We have strong links with academic institutions in countries including Finland, Ireland and China, and many of our programmes offer an international perspective.  Students on our work internships/sandwich programmes undertake work placements in a range of countries including the United States, Greece and Spain, and each year we welcome international students from around the world who contribute to the diverse, multicultural environment within the faculty.

The post is for the coming academic year 2018-19 (in total a period of 4 years).  This is now fairly urgent for us as we are looking to replace the current incumbent whose tenure has come to an end.  The post is for an external examiner for our programmes delivered at one of the colleges that we have developed a relationship with Pembrokeshire College in Haverfordwest, Wales.  The student numbers are quite small (20+) so ideally we see this as  an opportunity for somebody who has experience of internal examining already has some experience but limited experience in the area of external examining.
