Nottingham Law School, Nottingham Trent University, is urgently seeking an external panel member for a validation event to be held at Nottingham Trent University, on 8th August 2018 for half a day.  Panel members may submit their feedback in writing only as an alternative to attending the event.  A fee (plus expenses) will be paid and our standard fees are £200 for half day attendance and £100 for written report without attendance. 

The validation event is for two distance learning LLM courses, for law students and law practitioners introduced by one of our international partners. Both courses are practice focused masters and are:

LLM Legal Practice; and 
LLM Judicial Process.

Both courses require a short period of study in this country but are predominantly distance learning. Accredited Prior Learning applies, and to achieve the outcomes for a level 7 qualification, students will be required to submit a substantial piece of written work. 

Applicants for the position of external panel member should have:
•	relevant subject knowledge;
•	no previous involvement in the development of the courses;
•	no previous employment by Nottingham Trent University in any capacity (including as external examiner) within the previous three years;
•	a familiarity with the processes required for approving academic courses in UK Higher Education.
