Hi all
I was asked the same question a while back whilst attending the aftermath of a fire in a Cheshire Village where an asbestos roof had essentially exploded onto a nearby cornfield.
As I rocked up (to do nothing much except being a presence for the Council at someone's request), one of the firemen still on scene asked me. rather sheepishly, whether you could eat asbestos as he had "erm - eaten a couple of seeds of corn from the field".
He was in his 50's anyway, so he'll probably be OK.
Kind Regards
