Subject: 1st International Scientific Conference of Research on Family Services in Toruń
Dear Sir or Madam,
The Center for Family Research Nicolaus Copernicus University
in Torun has a great pleasure to invite you to 1st International
Scientific Conference of Research on Family Services, that will be
held in Torun on 11th - 13th March 2019. High priority is given to the
interdisciplinary nature of the conference, which will be held in
English. Preference will be given to articles resulting from the
empirical research. Topics of interest include, but are not limited to:
● supporting family in local environment – theoretical and
practical context,
● cooperation in child and family services,
● social innovation and modern technology as a tool to improve
Family Services,
● evaluation of Family Services,
● institutions supporting families,
● researches on family in crisis – methodological aspects,
● axiological perspectives in family-centered theory and practice.
There are no entry fees and the three-nights hotel
accommodation during the conference, full board and conference
materials for accepted authors, are provided by organisers. Only
travel is not included.
Condition for conference registration is sending an abstract,
which should have maximum length of 250 words. The prerequisite for
participation in the conference is written article. After positive
review, you will gain a possibility of your article publication. You
will also have a chance to win Annual Award for the Best Article in
Family Research, as our Center plans to award a cash prize to the
author(s) of the best article in family research, submitted for the
conference.
Torun, where the conference will be held, is a vibrant city
situated in Northern Poland on the Vistula River. The city is a
birthplace of famous astronomer, Nicolaus Copernicus, author of
heliocentric theory. Furthermore, Torun is listed on the UNESCO list
of World Heritage Sites. The most recognizable product of the city is
the Torun gingerbread. The Nicolaus Copernicus University in Torun
(NCU) is one of the largest universities in Poland, currently
comprising 17 faculties and is placed in the top 4% of universities
in the world.
