Subject: RE: New revolving door report from Action for Children
Dear Paul,
I am getting in touch as I know you kindly helped my colleague Meredith on our first Revolving Door report<https://emea01.safelinks.protection.outlook.com/?url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.actionforchildren.org.uk%2Fmedia%2F9363%2Frevolving-door-report-final.pdf&data=01%7C01%7Chsx056%40coventry.ac.uk%7C9383d277489a4af0fb3108d5e0dcac6c%7C4b18ab9a37654abeac7c0e0d398afd4f%7C1&sdata=NY22EYJzdgD3%2BIazm30eZoM5FU%2FgzKBOoLo2rwqlBi8%3D&reserved=0> last year that looked at if children and young people were signposted to early help when they did not reach thresholds for statutory services.
We have now published our second report, Revolving Door Part 2: Are we failing children at risk of abuse and neglect?<https://emea01.safelinks.protection.outlook.com/?url=https%3A%2F%2Flinkprotect.cudasvc.com%2Furl%3Fa%3Dhttps%253a%252f%252fwww.actionforchildren.org.uk%252fwhat-we-do%252fpolicy-and-research%252fsupport-for-children-and-families%252frevolving-door%252f%26c%3DE%2C1%2CDwwJHMQ8LfdjnUu-pBCceKAPWc_yMxOoQCd0XRmR1RmcLyvK7Er9VMNIVj7UhHq7DMmtSsJ8nvXhWS7LV4AbZMsaLaB80zxUoI0EjIOK%26typo%3D0&data=01%7C01%7Chsx056%40coventry.ac.uk%7C9383d277489a4af0fb3108d5e0dcac6c%7C4b18ab9a37654abeac7c0e0d398afd4f%7C1&sdata=7vhCYygUuBjrNbc%2BJtQ8JwHu%2F%2By6hOZaL2It6HTz244%3D&reserved=0> This builds on our research from last year, looking at if children are stuck in a revolving door into social care, in a cycle of referral and assessment but only receiving help at crisis point. We will now be working to take forward the report’s recommendations.
If you have any questions about our new report or would like to discuss our findings then please do let me know.
Many thanks,
Eleanor
