Job vacancy - Media Officer
In this post, you will join the team responsible for proactive and reactive media relations and be required to work both independently and collaboratively to deliver the department's media objectives. You will be expected to develop an understanding of how The National Archives works as an organisation and to work flexibly to communicate the department's vision.
You will have a strong interest in news and current affairs and have proven experience of working with national and international media and a sound knowledge of their audiences. You are articulate and have excellent communication skills with the ability to grasp sometimes complex information and convert it into accessible language. You recognise the urgent nature of some media calls and are able to prioritise existing work accordingly. You will have the ability to build strong relationships with all our stakeholders.
