The Nuffield Department of Population Health (NDPH) contains world-renowned population health research groups and provides an excellent environment for multi-disciplinary research and teaching. NDPH is home to the Clinical Trial Service Unit (CTSU), a major international research institute and is also a key partner is the new Oxford University Big Data Institute.
As Data Analyst you will join a team that is responsible for the processing and integration of large and diverse amounts of data collected by CTSU to be used for research purposes. You will be responsible for checking the quality and consistency of the data, creating appropriate documentation, making the data available to internal and external parties in a suitable format and answering queries in a timely manner.
To be considered for the Data Analyst role, you will need to have an MSc (or equivalent) in a scientific or numerate subject and proficiency in database management and in using large relational databases. You will also be proficient in one or more statistical software package (e.g. SAS, R or Stata).
The position is full-time (part-time considered) and fixed-term for 3 years.
