Research Assistant in Stroke Research and Medical Statistics, King's College London
Salary Details: Grade 5, £28,098 - £29,799 per annum
Allowances: plus £3,223 London Allowance
Contract Type: Fixed term 2 years; Full time.
The School of Population Health and Environmental Sciences (www.kcl.ac.uk/hscr<http://www.kcl.ac.uk/hscr>) is seeking to appoint a Research Assistant to provide support to 1) undertake analyses for the Dunhill Medical Trust project - improving the quality of care for stroke survivors in care homes, by using the South London Stroke Register, local and national healthcare data; 2) provide support to senior statisticians in the medical statistics group, eg, preparing datasets for senior statistical colleagues and writing code and analysing data from clinical studies.
The postholder will be based in the School of Population Health and Environmental Sciences and ideally will be a graduate/postgraduate in medical statistics with strong programming skills. However, candidates from related disciplines with strong data analysis skills and knowledge of medical statistics are also welcome to apply. The post will suit a recent graduate with ambitions to work in stroke research and medical statistics.
