Aimsun is expanding and seeks qualified and experienced traffic engineers
or transport planners for a full-time position as Transport Modeller or
Senior Transport Modeller for its UK branch, preferably located in London.
Your role will mainly consist of working in a wide variety of transport
simulation/planning projects as well as configuring and deploying Aimsun
Live as part of decision support systems delivered to traffic control
centres for major cities and/or highway corridors.
Additional responsibilities:
- Provide support to our growing user base of local/regional authorities
and consultants
- Attend conferences/exhibitions and give presentations
- Give training courses
- Help the Business Development team with commercial activities
- Report to the Executive Director, Professional Services
Essential skills:
- At least 3 years of experience in traffic modelling and/or transport
planning
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Excellent reputation within the industry
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
Highly desired:
- Experience with Aimsun transport modelling software
- Availability to travel – this position will involve supporting Aimsun
clients across the UK and Europe
- Coding skills in Python and/or C++
- Working knowledge of Spanish, French and/or German
- Project management skills
- Understanding of the UK traffic industry
Minimum requirement:
- A degree-level qualification or higher, preferably in Civil Engineering
- UK or EU resident
