Dear All,
Further to Mary's email regarding our Jisc-funded work on 'Funder Requirements for RDM', I am looking for some information/ examples from the community on what issues researchers/ institutions have had with regards funders' data management policies. I am hoping to meet with several (if not all) UKRI councils in the next few weeks and I would find it most helpful if I had a few examples of where researchers have come across problems. Examples might be:
Not having a clear understanding of funders' data management requirements/ not being able to access all relevant information
Submitted DMPs subsequently identified as insufficient/ lacking information/ i.e. contrary to what guidance is available
Researchers being unclear about which data management activities can be costed into research grant proposals/ requested data management costings being refused?
Activities which are deemed mandatory, but are not funded (i.e. long-term data curation)
Anything along these lines, or items I've not covered here would be most welcome.
Best wishes,
Kara
