Salary(inclusive of London allowance): £34,635 - £41,864 per annum (Salary pro-rata for part time vacancies)
Duties and Responsibilities
The Office of the Vice-Provost (Health) is seeking to recruit an experienced Communications & Events Officer to manage and develop communications for the UCL Research Domains hosted by the School of Life and Medical Sciences (SLMS), and the Research Coordination Office more generally. They will be responsible for implementing the communications strategy for the team, further developing and updating the UCL Research Domains and RCO websites, providing editorial responsibility for content on social media channels, creating articles and video content about SLMS projects, and developing the brand identity of the UCL Research Domains.
This part-time post (0.5FTE) is available immediately at UCL grade 7. The post is also open to internal Secondment applications. Anyone wishing to apply for a secondment should please discuss the possible secondment with their existing line manager before applying. Key Requirements
Applicants must have a good standard of general education to A level/NVQ Level IV administration or equivalent, or have substantial relevant experience. The ideal candidate will have experience of producing and editing effective content for websites and printed materials for academic and public audiences, experience of planning and developing content for social media channels, and a proven track record in managing and completing projects to deadlines.
Candidates will need excellent organisational, time-management and project-management skills, including the ability to work effectively on numerous projects simultaneously. They should be able to demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and be creative, with the ability to propose and develop innovate ideas and concepts into projects, delivered through to completion.
