Dear Colleagues,
I write to inform you that we have been very busy since last month's Hydra conference, preparing the materials for our online "Conference Proceedings" website.
Much work still remains to be done, but I can convey the following information to you:
1. We plan to hold our next conference in Tunisia in April 2020. If you think that you may be interested to participate, drop me a line.

2. Our conference website is gradually posting Abstracts, full versions of Papers, and audio or video recordings of speakers' presentations. You will find it here:
http://www.geocities.ws/soasspongesconference2018/index
3. We have made a Facebook page for our sponges conference (for information updates etc). You will find it here:
www.facebook.com/SOASSponges
Feel free to sign up to it.
4. In the spirit of Susanna Fuller's posting today, here is a (draft) version of sponge film that I have completed today. It is of a traditional shadow puppet show, performed in Hydra harbour by our colleague Jason Melissinos of Athens. At the conclusion he had all the children of the island promising that they would take good care of the island's marine life.

5. We are now working on an idea of creating an underwater "Children's Sponge Garden" in Hydra and on other islands. Watch this space.
With best regards,
Ed Emery
