Dear Christine,
If you are considering picturebooks in languages other than English, I recommend the brilliant Tres portugueses bajo un paraguas (sin contar el muerto) [Three Portugueses under an umbrella (not counting the deceased)], by Rodolfo Walsh and Inés Calveiro, Calibroscopio, 2015 (in Spanish). It was awarded by the Bologna Book Fair in 2016:

They usually have illustrations on every page, but they’re smaller format. I’ve made 2 animated trailers for a mouse detective series: The Case of the Missing Cheesecake, and the Case of the Poached Egg by Robin Newman and illustrator Deborah Zemke. It's amazingly faithful to the original novella by Stevenson. It is adapted and illustrated by Chris Mould and is published by Oxford University Press. It was published in 2000.
