This is an exciting opportunity to join the research team at MRC Clinical Trials Unit (CTU) at UCL, is a centre of excellence for clinical trials, meta-analyses and epidemiological studies; it is also a partner on "21st Century Trials" for the new Health Data Research UK (HDR UK).
We have two posts, initially to Mar-2021, in the area of trial conduct methodology. The main purpose of the roles is to improve the conduct of clinical trials through better methods for trial and data management. Together, we will generate an evidence-base for efficient and effective trial conduct, and related tools and guidance, which will have global impact on trial conduct.
==Main duties and responsibilities==
These include:
- Supporting and developing work to facilitate access to electronic health records within CTU and across the London HDR UK Consortium.
- Supporting the research effort to transform operational challenges into answerable research questions.
- Contributing to/leading appropriate, research projects arising from these priorities and in some of the other areas of interest for the unit.
- Supporting the activities in conduct methodology across the broader ICTM.
==Key Requirements==
The successful applicants should have a good understanding of practical issues in clinical trials from a clinical trial management, data management or statistics perspective. Good communications skills and the ability to work within a team are needed.
