Vacancy: Archivist, Tameside Local Studies and Archive Centre
Salary: £26,470 - £29,055 per annum, permanent role
36 hours per week (with some Saturday working) with the possibility of part-time working

Tameside Council are looking to appoint a qualified archivist to join their Local Studies and Archive Centre, located in Ashton-under-Lyne. The post provides an exciting opportunity to manage and exploit the borough's archive collection, including material associated with the Manchester Regiment. The post holder will be responsible for managing the archive service, and will assist in the development of a dynamic interpretation and event programme, working with colleagues across Culture. The post holder will also be responsible for achieving and maintaining Archive Service Accreditation, seeking and obtaining grant funding relating to the development, promotion and delivery of the archive and local studies offer, and working as part of the Greater Manchester Archives and Local Studies Partnership.
