. Location: Primarily Swindon, Head Office
. Salary: £28,000 annually, plus company performance based bonus and a range of employee benefits
. Permanent, full time contract, working 35-hours per week

. We're looking for highly numerate graduates to join our pioneering 2 year Modelling Analyst role. The position will provide a unique opportunity to apply your mathematical skills through four 6 month placements across the different modelling disciplines (Retail Risk, Model Risk Oversight, Treasury and Capital). During this period you'll learn how to develop, maintain and monitor the performance of models that are critical in the effective management of different areas of the business.

Who we're looking for
During the placements there will be many exciting and diverse opportunities, so you'll need to be looking for a challenge and driven to learn more.
As a minimum requirement, you'll need to:
. Have a strong numerate degree (ideally in a numerical, scientific, analytical or finance-related subject)
. Pass the online assessments
. It would be great if you also had:
. Strong logical thinking and mathematical capabilities
. Coding experience (SAS, R, SQL, Python) is preferable
. A positive, tenacious and solution focussed mindset
. Drive to learn, develop, and seek challenge
. A proven ability to build and maintain strong working relationships
. A high level of written and verbal communication
. An eye for detail and a strong commercial and economic grounding
What you'll be doing
The inaugural Modelling placements provide the first opportunity to have placements across 3 different communities in the business, namely:
. Risk - gain first-hand experience of how modelling is used to drive business decisions via credit scoring and quantify risk, capital and impairment measures that are used to shape business strategy. Understand how the models are independently reviewed and challenged in Model Risk Oversight.
. Treasury - work in an area that develops models which look at both Market driven risks and how our customers react to them. A great opportunity to get to know a broad range of risks (Liquidity, Interest Rate Risk, Pension risk, Capital requirements, and Treasury Credit) and to build, develop and implement models that use a diverse range of modelling approaches.
