Dear all,
Gosh, there's no shortage of job opportunities on this list at the moment, is there?! I'd like to lob another one into the mix -- for our 'E-learning and Scientific Content Manager' role, at The Institute of Cancer Research, London.
Full info is here:
https://www.jobs.ac.uk/job/BJZ313/e-learning-and-scientific-content-manager/
... but in summary:
* The post-holder will manage several of our e-learning platforms, including our Canvas-based VLE, and some ICR-developed training.
* They will also coordinate the writing of scientific content on a cancer science website that we provide for our PhD students. This will involve editing and writing new material.
* The post-holder will also be part of our REF preparation team, including our Impact Working Group. They will also look after the promotion of open access publishing and the use of ORCID amongst our researchers.
Those are the main points in the job description. More importantly though, the job is within walking distance of no fewer than **two** branches of Pret a Manger -- over in South Kensington (with occasional work in Sutton).
We've been fortunate to have outstanding people doing this job both times we've recruited for it in the past, and we're keen to continue that trend! We're a small organisation, so in practice everyone wears multiple hats: there's lots of variation in every job, and plenty of opportunity to get new experiences and training in new skills.
Salary is in the range £29,215 to £35,177, and the closing date is 17th June. Am happy to have an informal chat on the phone to anyone musing about the role (drop me an email at [log in to unmask] if that would be useful), although I'm decadently on leave from 1st June until the closing date.
Best wishes,
Stuart.
