Dear all,
If you are in, or near Bristol on June 5th please do join us for a
special event at part of Festival of Nature 2018, in partnership with
Arts and Humanities Research Council (AHRC)
How Springwatch was sprung: The History of a National Institution
Tuesday 5 June, 5:45pm-7:00pm, We the Curious, Bristol, BS1 5DB, £5.00
per ticket
As Festival of Nature takes to the streets of Bristol and Bath for a
celebratory 15th Festival, another group of Bristol wildlife-lovers
will also be in the midst of an important milestone – the annual
production of Springwatch.
Since 2005, the BAFTA award-winning programme has been an enduring
success on TV, web and social media, delighting audiences with its
unique blend of realtime wildlife dramas, conservation stories and
audience interaction, with its innovative ways for the audience to get
involved. Peter Coates and Susie Painter from the University of
Bristol have taken on the mammoth task of mining the past, and join us
to share the very special history of what is now a national
institution. Former Springwatch producers Tim Scoones and Stephen Moss
share their behind-the-scenes view of their favourite moments,
memories and wildlife stories, as the series enters its 14th year.
