Dear all:
Following our usual recruitment process earlier in the year, we at
UCL/MSSL have found ourselves with potentially 3 open PhD projects which
can be supported by STFC funding. In addition, UCL is making funding
available to support a PhD student specifically to be supervised by our
Head of Department. Several of these opportunities are potentially
within MIST-related subject areas, particularly in relation to
solar-solar wind connections with Solar Orbiter, auroral acceleration
processes and cometary science.
We are aware that at this time of year many of you may know of
graduating students who have yet to make final decisions on their next
steps. If you know of any that might aspire to do a PhD in the above
fields, may be interested in UCL/MSSL and you are willing to point them
in our direction, we would be grateful.
Details of the proposed projects can be found at:
STFC projects:

HoD project:

While general information on how to apply can be found at:

We will give full consideration to applications we receive by June 10th.
Many thanks,
Chris Owen
