As you all know Ivor had a major influence on on Uk Mining History, he was
a major influence on the setting up of Blists Hill, Ironbridge, National
Coal Mining Museum , Wakefield and St Aidens Opencast and Dragline
(Oddball) to name but may of the projects he was involved ihere and rest of
Europe. He was born in Madeley Shropshire and worked his way up through the
ranks at Kemberton Pit. He achielved is his Doctorate and moved upto
Yorkshire where he was responsible for Mineral Planning..
The Shropshire Caving and Mining Club and friends of Ironbridge Gorge
