The Government’s Geospatial Commission has a target of unlocking £11 Billion per annum from the UK economy by improving spatial understanding. Our clients in the property and planning sector are so enthusiastic about this we are bringing on four new spatial roles within a team which includes measurement, analytics and enterprise data management.
Our mapping technicians range from entry level to experienced analysts (5-8 yrs) who are beginning to specialise. We are looking for self starters who are prepared to do the basics very well and get rewarded with opportunities to develop. External courses for previous incumbents have included MSc.
Projects include
Rural Land Management
Commercial Property Investment
Spatial Planning and Compulsory purchase feasibility
Site finding using physical and human geography.
The working environment is full ESRI enterprise with open source bolt-ons where necessary. You will learn web services and be introduced to SQL and PostGRES databases.
In the future there will be opportunities to work in GIS/BIM integration and become Chartered as a Geographer or Surveyor.
