Notifications have now been sent out to over 500 authors who submitted an abstract and the Scientific Program Committee are busy working on the conference timetable. The scientific program includes a line-up of excellent keynote and invited speakers<http://iscbasc2018.com/keynote-speakers-and-invited-speakers/> including Thomas Lumley (Auckland), Natalie Shlomo (Manchester), Susan Murphy (Harvard), Chris Holmes (Oxford) and Louise Ryan (Sydney) (abstract now available<http://iscbasc2018.com/keynote-speakers-and-invited-speakers/>), with invited sessions<http://iscbasc2018.com/invited-sessions/> on machine learning, time-to-event analysis, analysis for highly complex data structures, Bayesian methods, statistical genomics and statistical education, to list just a few. Contributed paper sessions will cover a huge range of topics ranging from clinical trial methodology to causal inference and many areas of modern analytics all the way from environmetrics and survey methods to precision medicine and genomics. There is also a broad range of pre-conference courses<http://iscbasc2018.com/short-courses/>, including courses on using simulation studies to evaluate statistical methods, developing R packages and multi-arm multi-stage clinical trials.
