University Teacher in Mathematical Computing
The School of Mathematics is seeking to appoint a University Teacher. This is a fixed-term position in the first instance, focusing mainly on teaching associated with Mathematical Computing, with opportunities to take part in the broader teaching and learning and research activities in our School.
The duties allocated will be dependent on the expertise of the appointee and will include delivering effective teaching to undergraduate and/or taught postgraduate programmes. The role will also include involvement in assessment of students, helping to develop courses and programmes where this is appropriate, and teaching related administration. The School takes career development seriously: we will mentor the postholder to develop key skills and experiences in teaching and learning.
A PhD in the Mathematical Sciences, with extensive experience of computing, and experience of teaching mathematical sciences at University level is essential, as well as the ability to demonstrate effective team working, communication and interpersonal skills.
This post is fixed term for three years, in the first instance.
Salary Scale: £32,548 - £38,833 per annum.
