Lecturer Below the Bar in Statistics, School of Mathematics, Statistics and Applied Mathematics, 1 year Fixed Term
Applications are invited for appointment as a Lecturer Fixed Term in Statistics at NUI Galway.
Statistics is located within the School of Mathematics, Statistics and Applied Mathematics at NUI Galway. The successful applicant for the fixed term lectureship must have:
• A PhD (graduated or near completion) in Statistics, Biostatistics or a closely related discipline.
• An active research profile in Statistics as evidenced by research publications.
• Demonstrable expertise in Statistics and the capacity to deliver teaching programmes.
The duties of the successful candidate will be:
• To teach at undergraduate level.
• To contribute to research activity within the School of Mathematics, Statistics and Applied Mathematics.
• To engage in academic development and administrative duties within the School of Mathematics, Statistics and Applied Mathematics.
The position is available from 1/9/2018 and will terminate on 31 August 2019.

Salary:
€37,602 to €58,360 p.a. (applicable to new entrants effective from January, 2011)
(This appointment will be made on the Lecturer Fixed Term scale in line with current Government pay policy)
