European Study Groups with Industry are an opportunity for academics from a wide range of mathematical disciplines to work with industry to come up with new ideas and potential solutions to real-life problems.
We have a limited number of free places for academics at the ESGI 138 in Bath, which includes full-board and accommodation.
Register by tomorrow! (15 May 2018) to secure your free participation place at this event which is tremendous fun and involves getting your hands dirty with real mathematics and data modelling problems brought forward by industry.
Study Groups are focused on impact and knowledge exchange, and they are a great networking opportunity for academic colleagues. They are also an excellent training opportunity for PhD students to spend a week brainstorming on something other than their PhD.
We have an excellent line up of industrial problems, which, as is usual, are being finalised in the lead-up to the meeting. If anyone knows of any companies or organisations that might be interested, we are always happy to consider more. Please email suggestions to [log in to unmask]<mailto:[log in to unmask]>.
The first ESGI problem is finalised and available on the esgi.org.uk<http://esgi.org.uk/bath2018/> website:
