The School of Design at De Montfort University is seeking an External Panel Member with subject experience for the validation of a BA (Hons) Product Design programme in partnership with Nanjing Xiaohuang University (NXU) in China.

The event will take place at the NXU campus in Nanjing on 4th & 5th July 2018. The trip is planned for departure on 1st July, returning 6th July. There will be a set of documentation to comment on. The likely date of receiving these is 4th June with a deadline for comments on 14th June 2018.

The cost of travel and accommodation and expenses will be paid by DMU along with a fee of £150 per day for the event. Visa arrangements will be paid for and made with the support of DMU.

Appointment Criteria
To meet the criteria for selection the candidate must have one or more of the following credentials. Expertise in the subject area is preferred:

• Expertise in the subject area of the programmes(s) being considered
• Experience as a Quality Assurance Agency (QAA) reviewer
• Experience as an external examiner at another UK Higher Education Institution (HEI)
• Distinction by way of scholarship and research within the subject
