UWTSD Swansea is seeking an External Examiner for their MSc Food Logistics/MSc Logistics and HNC/HND/BSc Logistics, Humanitarian Logistics, Military Logistics, Logistics & Supply Chain Management, Motorsport Management portfolio of programmes due to the period of tenure ending for the current external examiner. This position would start from October 2018 for 4 years. The programmes are delivered in Swansea. All exam boards will be held in Swansea.

The position requires the following:

1. Attendance at an External Examiners’ induction day at Swansea (September 2018)

2. Attendance at an exam board once a year in June in Swansea

3. Overseeing all assessments for all modules (copies of exam papers and assessments will be sent for your approval)

4. Inspecting student work in early June. The University policy is to present a sample of assessments for half of the modules in one year, with the other half of the modules in the following year. This approach has been adopted to manage the volume of work to be reviewed.

5. Writing an external examiner’s report once a year.

6. Depending on whether you have been an external examiner previously, there may be some mentoring from our current externals.
