We are looking for a motivated, self-organized, and team-oriented applicant, holding a PhD (or equivalent) in the disciplines
neuroscience/biomedical sciences (computational neuroscience, bioinformatics, physcis,...). Strong computational skills are essential,
i.e. python, matlab, C, statistical analysis packages, basic shell scripting, experience in Unix platform. Strong analytical skills are
required with an ability to manage multiple projects and deliverables. Experiences with big data, neuroimaging methods, biostatistics
and neuroanatomy are a clear advantage. Fluent English is necessary. Experience in neuroimaging genetics, machine learning
techniques, Xnat and github are a plus.
The work involves management of large-scale multimodal magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) databases and establishing open-
access in line with our high ethical and quality standards. The data analyst will develop, apply and validate advanced image
processing algorithms and protocols. We offer the challenging, dynamic, innovative, international, and multidisciplinary environment of
the Max Planck Institute for Human Cognitive and Brain Sciences and the Medical University in the beautiful city of Leipzig, with state-
of-the-art facilities for MRI (7 T and 3T) and possibilities to engage in multiple projects and cooperations.
