The Voon Cambridge-Shanghai lab has a Medical Research Council funded 2 year postdoctoral scientist post available with expertise in signal processing (EEG with behavioural paradigms; LFP experience would be useful but not necessary) with a background in engineering, physics, mathematics or neurosciences and excellent computer programming skills. Knowledge of cognitive neuroscience or computational neuroscience is useful. The candidate will be involved in task design, collecting and analyzing LFP data, and may also be involved with other neurophysiological and neuroimaging studies in relation to measures in psychiatric neurosurgical patients. The individual must be enthusiastic, self-motivated, fairly independent, open to learning and travel. The individual will be based at the University of Cambridge but the post will involve travel for several months of the year. Good spoken and written English is necessary. Some capacity to speak Mandarin is useful but not necessary. The post has not yet been advertised. The individual will need to start asap and can be part-time initially to allow transitioning between positions.
