This is the basic requirement I would say.. You need to conduct your own risk assessments as to sites and be sure of the competence and confidence of the nurses giving the vaccinations. Without knowing what your sites are like and the capabilities of your team it couldn't say, yes that’s all you need. There is a guidance for a PGD template on the PHE website for example but if you need to consider who is going to write your organisation specific one, who is going to peer review it, do you have a doctor who can sign it off for you etc etc. I would suggest reading all of the information on the PHE flu website and then making a decision as to whether you offer the service in house.
Happy to help off list if you wish.
Kind regards
Helen

Thank you Helen - I have had a quick look. So by completing this online programme (with ALS/Anaphylaxis and PGD) will ensure nurses are safe and competent to deliver the flu vaccine to their colleagues?
