Dear friends, we are proud to announce the launch of a new podcast series.
NoVOID podcast series - a podcast on ruins and vacant lands in cities.

Each episode of this podcast combines one interview and one field recording in ruins or vacant lands. With this, we hope to create audible bridges between research and territory. We will interview experts from various fields, including artists, biogeographers, economic and cultural geographers, landscape and urbanist architects, and biologists. We will be publishing two episodes (one in English, one in Portuguese) every Monday during April 2018.
You can now listen to the first episodes:
Pilot Episode. In this episode, Professor Eduardo Brito-Henriques presents the NoVOID research project. [https://soundcloud.com/user-1166808/episode-zero-eduardo-brito-henriques] [Portuguese]
First Episode. In this episode, Professor Mário Vale discusses the economic changes that led to the emergence of ruins and vacant lands in Lisbon. [https://soundcloud.com/user-1166808/episode-one-mario-vale] [Portuguese]
Second Episode. In this episode, Professor Cian O’Callaghan talks about the debates over the reuse of vacant lots in the midst of the economic crisis in Dublin, Ireland. [https://soundcloud.com/user-1166808/episode-2-cian-ocallaghan] [English]
This podcast is financed by national funds of the Fundação para a Ciência e a Tecnologia, I.P. of the Ministério da Ciência, Tecnologia e Ensino Superior, under research projects NoVOID (PTDC/ATPEUR/1180/2014) and Som Urbano (SFRH/BD/108907/2015).
