Climate Data Processing Engineer, EUMETSAT, Germany
Bringing together the resources of 30 member states, we observe the atmosphere, ocean, and land surfaces from space using a system of satellites 365 days a year. Our data is vital for weather forecasts that help to protect lives and property, as well as monitoring the environment and our changing climate. EUMETSAT, the European meteorological satellite agency is looking to recruit a Climate Data Processing Engineer on contract until June 2021, which may be extended if funding is secured.
EUMETSAT and its partners are developing the Copernicus Climate Change Service (C3S) which will combine observations of the climate system with the latest science to develop authoritative, quality assured information about the past, current and future states of the climate globally. We need a Climate Data Processing Engineer to implement technical data processing activities to support this project. With experience of implementing, operating and validating large data volumes, you will help us to distribute and archive our data so that we can provide comprehensive and credible information to our user community.
