Dear GridPP Colleagues,
**Note – I sent this yesterday to the people listed as Institute contacts for GridPP travel in the visit notice system, with the aim of receiving one reply per institute. This, however, has not in the past been either fast or fully effective, so I am now also sending to TB-support so that individuals can (also) reply on their own behalf. Please also inform your local management that you have an accepted talk/poster and have replied to me.
Once we have the full statistics, the GridPP PMB can decide what level of funding will be available for CHEP2018.
It seems that many are now hearing the results of abstract submission to the CHEP2018 conference in Sofia.
In the past we have been able to offer up to 50% funding to people with talks and often those presenting posters too. The GridPP PMB has not yet discussed and agreed a funding model but as a first step we need to collect the statistics of successful submissions and potential bids for support.
Please will each institute send to me (not to everyone!) a list of accepted talks and posters (title, list of authors, main presenter, talk/poster) - only those which you are likely to be seeking support from GridPP funds, of course.
Please also tell me if there are other reasons for consideration for funding, e.g. track coordinators.
Many thanks for your help.
Regards
Dave
