Colleagues may be interested to learn that the latest version of Manage Your Collections is now live.
Manage Your Collections, launched in 2017, allows archive services the opportunity to contribute full catalogue descriptions to Discovery, The National Archives aggregator for UK archival collections, or to update content previously contributed through the Access to Archives project.
Discovery contains catalogue data from over 400 archives, also providing high-level information about records held in another c.2000 archives and papers held in private hands, making Discovery the largest archival finding aid in the UK. Manage Your Collections offers a simple and flexible approach to the ingest of catalogue information and allows any archive, whatever their technical or financial capability, the ability to contribute data on their collections to an online audience via Discovery.
The latest update to Manage Your Collections features the ability for an archive to update catalogue entries directly in Discovery from any web browser. Great for quick fixes to typos or other minor edits, MYC now offers greater flexibility over the management of collections information in Discovery.
