Dear colleagues,
Please find attached details of a forthcoming 3-day workshop in
ethnographic methods held at SPMVV (Women’s College) in Tirupati,
India. This three-day workshop is intended for doctoral and early career
researchers and will give participants the opportunity to learn about
ethnographic practice in the classroom (day 1), to practice their skills
through a day of fieldwork and creating fieldnotes (day 2), and to engage
in issues of analysis (day 3).The workshop is funded by the European
Research Council (ERC-StG-335514). It is free to attend and accommodation
in the SPMVV College dormitories is included. There are 25 available
places. Successful candidates will be expected to cover their own travel
expenses to and from the venue. The workshop is primarily addressed to the
qualitative research community in India, and priority will be given to
those researchers. The *deadline* for submitting an application is *Monday
23 April*. Further details attached.
