Hi Nikki
At St Andrews we also have specific modes of attendance for students on placement years. For example we use YC (year compulsory) for our integrated programmes where students take their third year abroad as language assistants. Students are charged a half fee for the year.
Are you using GFD to generate FDU and FPE1 to store your fee profile elements? We have an element set up that is coded YC for mode of attendance with a fee amount that reflects 50% of the full fee, as opposed to the full fee generated for a student with a mode of attendance as F (full time).
Happy to provide more information if that would be helpful.
Kind regards
Michele

Subject: SITS and placement year
Dear All,
Just wondering for those that use SITS for fee billing, how you manage students when they are on placement year.
We use a specific mode of attendance to recognise the course as having a placement year but are having difficulties automating fees to recognise when the student is on the placement year and a reduced fee applies.
I'd appreciate anyone sharing how they manage this.
Thank you
