Hi all,
In the course of setting up a "standard" workstation that houses 4 GTX 1080Ti for processing, the university IT instead suggested us to consider data center GPU like Volta in rack server that can connect with the university supercomputer.
While we mainly do single particle work, but we may as well look into subtomogram averaging in the future. I am sure a workstation with GTX 1080Ti suits our current needs, but I wonder is a rack-server with Volta GPU over the top for the moment considering the cost and performance.
Does anyone have any experience with the Nvidia Volta GPU cards? And what is your setup if you use the university supercomputer with GPU rack server?
