Dear Kyoji,
You only need to download the file from this link:
https://github.com/spm/spm8/archive/maint.zip
It's a full contained SPM8 version so forget about the other files.
Unzip it with:
unzip spm8-maint.zip
This will create a folder spm8-maint that you add to the MATLAB path.
I assume the problem you have is with "unzip -o spm8-maint.zip -d spm8/"
as this will unpack everything in spm8/spm8-maint/ so that it will not
overwrite the existing file.
