As others have confirmed, this change is indeed taking place although, at the
time of that tweet, it was difficult to confirm details. AHRC have now released
much more information, and the DCC has updated our guidance pages relating to
AHRC as a result:

Updates to our quick funder comparison table and to the relevant templates in
DMPonline for subscribing institutions will follow.
It's worth drawing particular attention to the fact that AHRC are taking a
similar view to EPSRC with regard to institutional involvement. The DMP asked
for is not simply a promise by a researcher, but also a commitment by the host
institution that it can support the technical aspects of the proposal. If that
can't be honoured, sanctions are a possible outcome.
