The Phillips Mood and Brain Lab at the University of Pittsburgh is looking for a Postdoctoral Associate in neuroimaging research of mood and anxiety disorders. The candidate will work with the Principal Investigator of the Lab, Mary Phillips, MD MD (CANTAB), and with her faculty members on different studies specifically examining functional, and white and grey matter structural abnormalities in brain reward and emotional regulation circuitry in young adults and youth at risk of future mood and anxiety disorders, and in youth and adults with these disorders.
This position calls for an MD or PhD degree (postdoctoral level in neuroscience, medicine, psychiatry/psychology, or related field). The candidate should have previous experience in fMRI neuroimaging data analysis and/or diffusion imaging data analysis, an interest in resting state functional connectivity analysis, and an interest in understanding the neural basis of psychopathology in youth and young adults. The candidate should also have previous experience in data collection, organization, and analysis.
In addition, this candidate should have the ability to run sophisticated neuroimaging programs and statistical analysis packages, deal effectively with research participants, and convey research-related concepts in grants and publications.
