I understand that I am using applywarp *twice* to my image to transform from native --> standard and vice versa. This serves as a sanity-check. But, when I use applywarp *once* to transform from native --> standard, this is only sampling the data once, correct? To clarify, I'm using a warpfield and a premat affine matrix option when calling applywarp. I've read elswhere that combining linear and non-linear transforms using applywarp results in sampling the data only once. Just want to make sure.
So I understand the smoothing. I want to clarify - the difference in peak intensity also isn't a big deal?
