When the host cannot be modified for any number of reasons, usually
non-technical involving legacy code that makes heavy use of IMPLICIT
typing. The BLOCK construct is great, it allows one to introduce some
set of instructions into such a host to achieve some end, an immediate
use case I came across was some help I was extending to a friend debug
some issues with decades-old code.
