Dear colleagues,

I wanted to let you know that there is only 1 DAY LEFT (DEADLINE: 1
MARCH 2018) to submit session and satellite meeting proposals for the
SEB 2019 Annual Meeting in Seville (2-5 July) and proposals to organise
the SEB 2019 Plant Biology Symposium.

I would like to encourage you to consider submitting a proposal as the
SEB events are a great opportunity to promote and communicate our field
of research to a global community. With the support of the SEB,
organising a session at our Annual Meeting or a symposium is not too
onerous and it gives you a way to bring together speakers that you want
to listen to and interact with.

Please find below further information these opportunities and I would be
more than happy to answer any questions you have and/or discuss proposal
ideas before submission.

Best wishes,

Geraint Parry

SEB 2019 ANNUAL MEETING (2-5 JULY 2019) – SESSION PROPOSALS

DEADLINE: 1 MARCH 2018

The SEB 2019 Annual Meeting will be taking place on 2-5 July 2019 in
Seville, Spain.

For each half day session organised, you will receive free meeting
registration for two invited speakers, as well as up to £500 to assist
with their travel expenses. We are generally looking for proposals
between 2 and 4 half days in length with the length being linked to the
likely interest in that session. As a session organiser, you will also
receive free meeting registration and we usually limit this to 2 - 3
organisers per session.

Proposals for Plant Biology sessions can be openly submitted but we are
happy to receive proposals from early career researchers as well as
established researchers.

To propose a session, please complete the Annual Meeting Session
Proposal Form [1] and return your form by email to
[log in to unmask] with the subject line "2019 Annual Meeting
Session Proposal" by the advertised deadline.

2019 SATELLITE MEETINGS PROPOSALS

DEADLINE: 1 MARCH 2018

The Plant Biology satellite meeting will take place immediately before
our 2019 SEB Annual Meeting in Seville, either at the same venue as the
Annual Meeting or at a nearby venue.

Funding of up to £5000 is available for the satellite meeting to cover
organising costs. Proposals for Plant Biology sessions can be openly
submitted but we are interested to receive proposals for microbiome
sessions with the aim to run a cross-disciplinary meeting with the
Animal Biology section. We would like to promote the latest microbiome
research and techniques to manage and manipulate microbial populations
to stimulate interdisciplinary and cross-organism research.

To propose a satellite meeting, please complete the Satellite Meeting
Funding Application Form [2] and submit it by email to
[log in to unmask] with the subject line "2019 Satellite Meeting
Proposal" by the advertised deadline.

SEB 2019 PLANT SYMPOSIUM PROPOSALS

DEADLINE: 1 MARCH 2018

The SEB provides up to £12,500 in funding to assist with the
organisation of the symposium and the proposals for the Plant Biology
symposium can be openly submitted. The symposium is a standalone meeting
and the scientific topic of the proposed meeting must fall within the
remit of our section interest groups,
www.sebiology.org/plant-biology/interest-groups [3].

To submit your proposal, please complete the Symposium Proposal Form [4]
and return it by email to [log in to unmask] with the subject line
"2019 Plant Symposium Proposal" by the advertised deadline.
