An opportunity is available for a Research Fellow to join an expanding research group within the team for Economic Evaluation and Health Technology Assessment (TEEHTA) at the Centre for Health Economics.
We are looking to recruit an individual who will contribute to the continued success of our group’s work which focusses on the development and evaluation of precision, personalised and person-centred healthcare interventions (https://www.york.ac.uk/che/research/teehta/personalised-medicine/). You will be responsible for the day-to-day conduct of the above research study, carrying out data collection, modelling and data analysis. Candidates must have a Master’s degree in economics, health economics or another quantitative subject such as operational research, applied statistics, or applied mathematics. Evidence of strong quantitative skills (e.g. decision analytic models, regression analysis and Bayesian methods for evaluation) are required, as well as:
• Ability to develop research objectives, projects and proposals for own and joint research, with supervision if required
• Competency to conduct individual and collaborative research projects
• Ability to make presentations at academic conferences and other events
Candidates will be expected to have knowledge and understanding of economic evaluation or a strong interest in this area alongside experience of carrying out both independent and collaborative research. Experience in developing, evaluating and reporting decision analytic models, regression analysis and Bayesian methods for evaluation is essential.
Main duties of the role are to conduct research under the supervision of senior colleagues and to contribute to the production of research. This will also include communicating the results of research to different groups through written reports and papers, presentations at conferences and other forums, and at workshops and other meetings. The successful candidate will be required to assist in the identification and development of potential areas of research and the development of proposals for independent or collaborative research projects.

Salary and Terms
Salary will be £31,604 - £38,832 per annum within grade 6 of the University’s single pay spine. This full-time (37 hours per week) fixed‑term post is available immediately for 22 months.
