No, don’t enable the VHE. It only gives you the Glashow resonance if you care to simulate neutrinos above 6 PeV
and it has no other effect. GENIE has a LO model and I seem to think that NLO corrections to the cross-section
are probably below 5% for energies below 1 PeV. You could increase the energy, but keep an eye for possible
oddities in kinematical selection or numerical integration (perhaps the algorithms are not well optimised if much
of the strength shifts to very low Bjorken x, and there might be built-in thresholds on the minimum value of x which
may start having an impact).

Bei,
more detail.
Here is comment in release notes.
Very high energy mode extension to 5 TeV. To get this, you have to enable VHE mode.
I'm told that we have problems with PDFs at higher energies.

Bei,
I think we had a contribution from a young lady from Icecube who put
in fixes to make it valid until 100 TeV. Hugh can correct me if I'm wrong.

Hi Bei -
I think the easiest thing to do would be to just try it. I know it's been run at a few TeV, and I can't think of any reason off the top of my head why the physics models would break down between there and 100 TeV, but there could always be something.
Cheers, Hugh
Dear all,
Are there any ways to simulate the interactions of very-high-energy (like 7, 8, 13, 100 TeV for example) neutrinos by GENIE? And how good the results could be?
From an old email in this mail list I found it might be possible to change the max energy in UserPhysicsOptions.xml and general the splines by ourselves.
But that email was for 2 TeV only.
Thanks very much!
Best,
Bei
