Artisan!: Crafting Alternative Economies, Making Alternative Lives

10 – 11 September 2018
Abstract deadline: 01 June 2018.
The Identities theme of the Social Science Research Group are hosting a multi-disciplinary conference, exploring the nature, forms and dynamics of contemporary artisanal craft economies. With a focus on production, retail and consumption, and with particular regard to understanding the social, cultural and spatial characteristics of such economies, papers are invited from a range of disciplinary vantage points, including: sociology, anthropology, economics, geography and cultural studies.
