“Bloodymindedness”, though, is such a vague term for Alison to use. It can mean anything. If she meant by it “stubbornness”, that might mean to others “conviction”.
As I say, many people (men and women) don’t like having their opinions challenged, and see opposing arguments as “bloodymindedness”.
