Topics include: basic concepts in critical realism;
interdisciplinary research in the social and life sciences;
connecting micro to macro, qualitative to quantitative;
reality, truth and values in healthcare research;
relevance to policy and practice;
mapping transformative change over time.
Aims of the day: to show beginners, and those who want to refresh their knowledge, practical ways to use critical realism in their research, teaching or study about healthcare.
